Summer season, while on one hand perfect for outings and outings, on the other hand, the risk of heat-related illnesses increases this season. Severe heat and humidity leave the body low on water and electrolytes, which can cause many health issues. Heat-Related Diseases

1.Heat stroke (lukewarm)

  • Reason: Too much heat results from staying up long.
  • Symptoms: high temperature, dry skin, dizziness, fainting, headache, vomiting.
  • Treatment: Keep patient in cool place, bathe with cold water, wipe body with cold water, and contact doctor immediately.

2.Heat Exhaustion (heat fatigue)

  • Reason: By doing manual labor in the heat for a long time.
  • Symptoms: Too much sweating, weakness, dizziness, muscle cramps, fatigue.
  • Cure: Relax, stay cool, consume water and electrolytes, and contact a doctor if necessary.

3.Heat cramps (muscle cramps due to heat)

  • Reason: Lack of salt and water in the body due to excessive sweating.
  • Symptoms: Muscle pain and cramps, especially in legs and abdomen.
  • Cure: Drink water and electrolytes, stretch muscles, relax.

4.Heat syncope (sedation due to heat)

  • Reason: Decreased blood flow by standing or doing physical labor in extreme heat.
  • Symptoms: Sudden fainting, light-headedness, dizziness.
  • Treatment: Lying patient, legs up, cold compress, watering.

Measures To Prevent These Diseases In Summer

1. Drink enough water: Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day so the body doesn’t run low.

2. Wear light and loose clothing: Wear cotton and light-colored clothing that can cool the body.

3. Avoid sun: Avoid direct sun exposure, especially at midday when the sun’s rays are strongest.

4. Focus on eating: eat fresh fruits, vegetables, and salads. Avoid fried and heavy things.

5. Use an umbrella and hat: Use an umbrella or hat when out so the sun’s direct rays don’t fall on you.
