It may sound strange, but according to a study, 80 percent of people have been found to have traces of microplastics in their bodies along with food and water. We eat fruits, vegetables, milk, water, and many such things every day, and with these food and water items, very small plastic particles secretly enter the body. Which slowly but surely makes us sick. It will be a surprise to hear the year, but 90 percent of microplastics have been found in many salt samples from 21 countries of the world. So if you want to protect your body from these fine particles of plastic, then start changing these habits related to food, drink, and the kitchen.
Water is the largest source of exposure to microplastics. Studies have found that microplastic particles have been found in water from both bottles and taps. But due to the packing of the bottle and friction of the cap, the amount of plastic particles in it is high. According to experts, if water is filtered with the help of carbon or good filters, then these microplastic particles can be reduced. If the water supply coming to the house is safe, then filtering it and filling it in a steel or glass bottle is a safe option to drink.
Plastic tiffin boxes are the second largest source of microplastics for children and adults. Not only this, people keep food items in plastic containers. By reusing them and opening them again and again, they get mixed in fine plastic particle foods. This situation becomes worse due to heat. If you have kept sour, acidic things in a plastic container or are keeping oily food, then they rapidly absorb these poisonous particles into the food. Such plastic containers from the kitchen are especially old, worn out, broken, and discolored. Take them out of the kitchen. Gradually, instead of plastic, place a steel storage box in the kitchen.
By putting the microwave-safe plastic container in the microwave for heating, a large amount of nanoplastic particles dissolve in the food. When oily, salty, and acidic foods are heated in these boxes, the heat causes the plastic in the surface to break down rapidly and particles to dissolve in the food. Not only this, but by drinking tea and water in a plastic glass, microplastic particles dissolve in it and reach the body faster.
Nowadays many plastic items will be available in the kitchen. Plastic chopping boards, ladles, and nonstick pans with scratches. All these things come in contact with heat during cooking, and then plastic dissolves in the food even faster and reaches the body. As much as possible, take these plastic utensils and utensils with nonstick coatings out of the kitchen.
Processed foods in plastic bags are available in the market, whose plastic dissolves rapidly along with food from packaging to handling. To reduce this danger, fresh vegetables and fruits, and fish can be washed thoroughly before eating and removed to some extent. So that microplastics do not enter our body that fast and keep the body healthy.
