The National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has responded to the complaints of students, parents and coaching experts. Actually, after publishing the provisional answer key of JEE Main 2025 session 2, many people had discovered many errors in the answer key. There was a lot of controversy on social media regarding this. Now NTA has responded in this regard.
NTA reacted on the official handle of X
NTA posted on the official X handle, ‘NTA always adopts a clear examination process. Therefore, soon after the provisional answer key is out, candidates can also check their recorded answers. Apart from this, NTA addresses all objections regarding the answer key on serious consideration. ‘
NTA also said that the process of questioning the answer key is a good and trustworthy mechanism. The intention behind this process is that in case of any mistake, a level playing field can be provided to the candidates.
Discussing about JEE Main Session 2, the provisional answer key that has been uploaded is not to be used. The final answer key has not been uploaded. The score should be calculated only after comparing it with the final answer key.
It is not correct to conclude anything on the provisional answer key. Along with this, the NTA instructed the students that they should not be mislead by any reports.
Experts had said that 28% of the questions were wrong
The NTA has already reduced 12 questions from the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam. All those candidates who have appeared for the exam have been awarded 4 marks for each of these reduced questions. That is, all the candidates have been awarded 48 marks. After this, now students and experts are showing concern about 9 questions. In such a case, there are possibilities of reducing the total number of questions by 21.
There are a total of 90 questions in the exam out of which 75 are to be attempted. If 21 of these questions are dropped and 4 marks are distributed to each candidate, the scope of competition is lost. In this way, 28% of the questions will be dropped which means marks for more than 1/4th of the questions will be distributed to all the candidates.
