- Identity theft – Frauding another person’s identity (eg PAN, Adhaar) using.
- Malware attack – Virus, ransomware or spyware damaging one’s device.
- Online scam – Fake websites, defrauding money via lottery Scams or investment fraud.
- Cyberbullying – harass or threaten someone on Internet.
Ways To Avoid Cyber Crime
The government should make some rules to prevent cyber crime and common people should also take precautions. Even many educated and knowledgeable people are involved in such activities. Instead of using their minds in a positive manner, they employ themselves in cyber criminal activities.
- Use Strong Password – Always create strong passwords and change from time to time.
- Don’t click Unknow Links – Avoid clicking on any unknown emails or links to the website.
- Install Antivirus Software – Use good antivirus to keep computers and mobiles safe.
- On do Two-Factor Authentication – This is very important to increase the security of online accounts.
- Be careful on social media – Do not publicize your primate information and do not contact strangers.
- Use secure website – Whenever online transaction occurs, use only website starting with https://.
