UPI Payment Will Soon Be Made With Fingers Mark: New Feature Is Coming Soon, Now People Use PIN For Payment

UPI users will soon be able to pay their fingers or facials. According to the news sources, the NPCI managing UPI is preparing to allow payment through biometrics. After this change, the use of pin for UPI payment will be optional.

Here the details are given in the question -answer format …

Question 1: What is biometric payment?

Answer: Biometric payment means using specific physical characteristics such as fingers or facial identification to identify a person. This method is more secure and easier than using pin or passwords as these specific characteristics are difficult to mimic. This is exactly the same as you can unlock your phone by showing your fingers or your face.

Question 2: When will this new feature be available?

Answer: National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) is working on this update. They want to make UPI payment more secure and convenient. However, he has not announced a fixed date yet. In a few months we can see this feature in UPI apps.

Question 3: Why is biometric payment being started?

Answer: Using biometric payments reduces the chances of fraud compared to using the pin. This method will also be fast and easy, especially for those who find it difficult to remember their PIN.

Question 4: Will all UPI apps have this facility?

Answer: Yes, this facility is expected to be available in all major UPI apps like Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm. However, it can be done initially in a few selected apps before it is widely implemented.

Question 5: Is this system safe?

Answer: Yes, biometric information will be protected by encryption, which reduces the chances of data theft. However, stringent security measures are still needed to ensure data privacy.
