If the child keeps playing games for a long time, then during this time he only has to remain sitting and due to sitting for a long time, inflammation (inside swelling) starts in some of his muscles. 1. Carpal tunnel syndrome
This is a physical problem which is being seen in many gamers. Not only this, this syndrome is also seen in people working in offices. Actually, be it gaming or any other computer work during which your thumb is used a lot. Due to excessive use of thumb, the problem of carpal tunnel syndrome starts occurring. Due to this, swelling (inflammation) may also occur in your thumb. Due to this the movement of the thumb becomes quite limited.
2. Obesity problem
Obesity in children is also increasing through gaming. Because they sit at one place for a long time, they get less time to exercise and during this time they also eat a lot of snack and junk food. Due to which they start feeling more hungry and start gaining weight.
3. Gaming addiction
It remains a question whether gaming addiction should be considered a syndrome or not. You should be alert if your child shows any 5 of the following symptoms, as these prove that the child has developed a bad gaming addiction.
Gaming can cause problems like lack of sleep, insomnia and circadian rhythm disorders, depression, aggression and anxiety etc. Not only this, due to excessive gaming, violent tendencies are increasing among children because these days most of the popular games available on the internet are violent.
