Internet will be available through satellite in the country, agreement between SpaceX and Airtel: Will work everywhere in forests and mountains, Musk’s company has the largest satellite network
Indian Country Telecom company Bharti Airtel will soon provide satellite internet service in the country. For this, it has signed an agreement with Elon Musk’s company SpaceX. Airtel gave this information in a stock exchange filing on Tuesday (March 11).
Under the agreement, SpaceX and Airtel will work together to provide Starlink services to businesses, educational institutions, healthcare centers and remote areas. Possibilities will be explored to integrate Starlink technology into Airtel’s existing network infrastructure.
Starlink provides high-speed internet to users around the world. It has the world’s largest satellite network of more than 7 thousand satellites in low Earth orbit. Streaming, online gaming, video calls can be easily done through Starlink Internet.
Starlink provides fast internet even in remote areas
Starlink’s job is to connect various remote areas of the country to fast internet via satellite system. In this, the company provides a kit that includes a router, power supply, cables, and mounting tripod. For high-speed internet, the dish is placed under the open sky. Starlink’s company app is available on iOS and Android, which does everything from setup to monitoring the system.
How does internet reach you from satellites?
Satellites make it possible to beam internet coverage from any part of the Earth. Users get high-speed, low-latency internet coverage from satellite networks. Latency means that it takes time to transmit data from one point to another.
Starlink equipment will be available at Airtel’s retail stores
Airtel and SpaceX will explore the possibilities of providing Starlink equipment at Airtel’s retail stores.
The possibilities of offering Starlink services to business customers through Airtel will also be explored.
