ChatGPT is being described as the search engine of the future. This chatbot created through artificial intelligence can answer any of your questions.
Even the founder of Gmail, Paul Bouchette, has said that this is the biggest threat to Google’s existence. Paul had said that artificial intelligence will destroy the search engine’s result page.
He had said, “Google is just one or two years away from destruction.”
Perhaps Paul Bouchette did not know that Google is preparing to deal with this threat.
Now Google has announced that it is going to bring its own artificial intelligence chatbot.
Google has named it Bard. Before making this chatbot public, Google will let a special group use it for testing.
Announcing this, Google boss Sundar Pichai wrote, “Artificial Intelligence is the most serious of the new things being worked on these days. It is being used from helping doctors diagnose diseases to providing information to people in their own language.”
He wrote that for the last two years he was working on a new artificial service through a language model called Language Model for Dialogue Application (LaMDA).
Sundar Pichai said, “We are naming this new AI technology Bard. Today we have taken another step in this direction. Before making it public, we are handing it over to testers today. It will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.”
Challenge from ChatGPT
ChatGPT is actually a chatbot.
This chatbot can write content that is very accurate and appears to be written by humans.
For the past few days, there has been a common discussion that this new tool can emerge as a threat to Google.
Gmail’s founder Paul Tak had said some time ago that this tool could destroy Google in two years.
If you read reviews of ChatGPT on the Internet, you will find the word ‘danger’ mentioned repeatedly. Many people believe that this program is rapidly copying the human brain.
Now another chatbot using artificial intelligence is in the market and a big company like Google is behind it.
An engineer said about Google’s Bard chatbot that it can answer questions sensitively like the human brain.
Google has also added many new AI tools to its existing search engine.
How do chatbots work?
The chatbot answers people’s questions using the knowledge base of the database available on the Internet. However, questions are also being raised that the chatbot can sometimes give objectionable and wrong information.
Sundar Pichai says that his AI Bard will ‘answer people’s questions by combining the world’s store of knowledge with creativity through Google’s language model.’
Google says that they want to make Bard a fearless and responsible service, but the company has not said anything about preventing the sharing of harmful or offensive content through it.
Google’s announcement comes at a time when there was speculation that Microsoft is also bringing an AI chatbot that will work with their search engine Bing.
ChatGPT can answer your questions, write speeches, poems, marketing cops, news articles and even essays for you.
It is currently free, although whenever someone asks a question on ChatGPT, its owner company has to spend some money, ChatGPT’s owner company OpenAI has also recently announced subscription.
The nature of search will change
But the ultimate goal of chatbots is to completely change internet search.
At present, if you search for something on a search engine, you get millions of answers in the form of internet pages.
Chatbots give a precise answer to your search. It does not give the option of opening and reading any one of the thousands of pages.
Google boss Sundar Pichai has also said that people are now asking questions on Google in a very different way.
He says, “Earlier people used to search on Google how many keys are there in a piano, but now people search whether learning guitar or piano is more difficult. Now it is not possible to give an immediate factual answer to this question.
Chatbots are effective in answering such tricky questions.
