According to Healthline, 1 pomegranate contains 234 calories, containing 4.7 gm protein, 3.3 gm fat, 52 gm carbohydrates, 11.3 gm fiber, 32% vitamin C, 27% folate, 8% magnesium, 8% phosphorus, and 13% potassium. Eat it whole or drink it with juice, both beneficial. It contains antioxidants that protect body cells and prevent them from getting damaged by free radicals. It saves the body even from the biggest illness. It has anti-cancer properties. According to research, if someone has the early stage of liver cancer and eats pomegranate daily, the growth of the tumor slows down.

2. Keep blood pressure under control

Pomegranate is very beneficial for heart health. People who eat this fruit don’t risk heart attacks. Eating this also keeps blood pressure under control. Drinking pomegranate juice for 2 months straight starts lowering systolic and diastolic blood pressure, according to research in 2022. For people who have chest pain, eating it reduces it. Apart from this, people who are anemic should take this fruit because it is high in iron, which increases hemoglobin.

Ayurveda Acharya says eating every fruit has a rule and the right time. Pomegranate should always be eaten before breakfast. Eating it on an empty stomach maintains energy in the body and increases metabolism. It shouldn’t be eaten with the rest of the fruit but alone so the nutrients it contains dissolve well in the body.
