  • Cyber Phishing-> This is a type of cyber attack that attackers use to trick people and do wrong things, such as; Used to steal user data, including login credentials and credit card numbers.
  • Software Piracy-> Software is copied and sold at cheap prices, due to which software companies have to suffer huge losses and at the same time your valuable equipment also does not work properly and there is a possibility of your personal data also being stolen.
  • Fake Bank Call-> When a person makes a fake call to get personal information about your bank account, eg; OTP cases are often seen.
  • Cyber Bullying-> Using cell phones, instant messaging, e-mail, chat rooms or social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to harass, threaten or intimidate someone is cyber bullying.

Causes Of Cyber Crime And Measures To Prevent It

There can be various reasons for cyber crime because where there is good, people also find evil, hence our important role in promoting this increasing cyber crime in the society comes to the fore because there is such a growing number of cases of Bharat mein Cyber Apradh. We do not learn even after seeing the cases and become its victims, like:-

  • Sharing of personal information on social networking sites -> People share their personal information from moment to moment on social networking sites, due to which hackers get information about their every activity and hackers easily hack these networking accounts and get it.   • Sharing phone number while going to a mall or shop for shopping–> When we go to a mall or shop for any kind of purchase, we are asked at the counter to provide our phone number or email, which is then circulated. Which is taken advantage of in various ways. Therefore we should avoid sharing our number and email anywhere.
  • Not updating our phone applications and computer software on time as a result of which people become victims of cyber crime -> We often make such small mistakes which we have to suffer the consequences without any reason, if we always keep updating our phones and computers. If we keep updating applications on time, we can avoid cyber crime.
  • Lack of awareness about spam messages and calls and sometimes clicking on blue links results in providing all the personal information to strangers -> People often have messages and calls whose purpose is only to cheat and counterfeit. But due to lack of information about it, people get trapped in it and all their personal information Let’s provide. Therefore, people need to be aware that they should not click on any kind of unknown message or blue link.
  • Making fake calls on the pretext of lottery and other types of financial benefits -> Sometimes a person’s greed becomes a problem for him because he does not know that when he has not invested his money in any kind of lottery, So, from where did he get the benefit. Therefore, never try to avoid any kind of unknown financial gain.

Just as India is climbing the ladder of progress in the internet world, in the same way the government should also develop high level technologies to deal with this increasing cyber crime, which can control it and prevent it. The Government of India has also created many such initiatives to deal with cyber crime, but despite all this, the government needs to make changes and reforms in it because despite all these initiatives, the government has failed to stop cyber crime. It is happening.

Apart from all these cyber security programs, the government also needs to consider some small and important things, like:-

  • Hire professional experts to monitor the threat of cyber crime to high-level officials.
  • Spreading awareness about cyber crime prevention as spreading awareness can play a major role in eliminating or preventing the increasing number of cyber crimes.
  • To set up detection centers in every district of India which is responsible only for keeping an eye on suspected cyber crime and is also an expert in finding the culprit.
  • Establish cybercrime support centers in every district responsible for preventing cyberrelated crime in the city and look forward to serving the public.

Effects Of Cyber Crime In India

The impact of cybercrime in India is having a profound impact on society with negative consequences for today’s women, girls and children as well as others in different forms: –

  • Molesting women and girls through various social networking sites and applications, harassing them, intimidating them by using their personal pictures and misusing their privacy.
  • The prevalence of online games and social networking sites has increased to such an extent that it has started affecting children too, where children are subjected to pornography, trafficking and at some places they lose their lives.
  • Even at the personal level, stealing personal information through cyber crime, defaming someone’s image on social networking sites.
  • Cyber attacks are also carried out in government officials and other government institutions and such cyber crimes are called cyber terrorism, where government-run websites are hacked, from which important information about one’s country is obtained and This is usually done by a terrorist group or enemy country.
