She said I needed to sign up to start receiving matches—and so began the rip-off.
Step-by-Step Way to the Trap: How I was cheated
1. Registration Fee – ₹800
Paid by: Tapasi Das (Indian Overseas Bank)
2. ID Creation and Password Setup – ₹15,500
She required my login credentials to be “manually verified”. I ended up paying ₹7,500, persuaded through means to pay over ₹8,000.
3. Romance/Dating License Card – ₹35,500
This turned out to be the biggest trap. I instructed that I had to purchase a Felony Romance Card to show my identity for communication. They claimed that this turned into mandatory and it turned into illegal to take it out. It seemed absurd, however I believed them and paid the quantity to Manasi Das (Bank of India).
4. Platinum Membership – ₹15,000 (Effort)

After realizing that I had been scammed, I reached out to the cybercrime department and the nearby police – however to my shock, the conduct of the cybercrime personnel became rude, careless, and disrespectful.

“Once again and again don’t name anyone else. We will see if we are able to do something.”
There was no sense of urgency, no empathy, and really no accountability. Instead of assisting victims like me, they dealt with me like a burden. I predicted support, however I was met with indifference and arrogance.

• No real punishment for fraudsters
This is a dangerous situation. Due to lack of strict rules and action on the spot, such fraud cases are increasing daily across India – or even globally.
My Appeal to the Indian and all world Governments
As a blogger and content creator, I study these cases to protect others. But my own study cannot solve this problem.
I strongly urge:
• Indian Government
• Indian Supreme Court
• Law enforcement agencies
• Cyber authorities across all nations and around the world
Please implement and enforce powerful, real-time regulations and policies to:
• Arrest fraudsters and on-line scammers
• Immediately shut down fake websites
• Freeze and expose suspicious financial institution accounts
• Create responsive and accountable cyber crime teams
• Treat victims with empathy, respect, and support
