Most people blame fried and junk food for the problem of weight gain, but this is not the whole truth. Some vegetables included in an everyday diet can also cause weight gain unknowingly. Eating less is not enough for weight loss, but choosing the right food and balanced quantity is equally important. Many vegetables are rich in nutrition, but the high calories, starches, and carbohydrates present in them can slow down the weight loss process.

This is the reason why people trying to lose weight should not eat every healthy-looking thing without thinking. It is better that instead of giving up such vegetables completely, they should be made a part of the diet in limited quantities so that the body gets the necessary nutrition and weight also remains under control.

1. Potatoes

Potato is part of almost every Indian kitchen. Its taste and use make it extremely popular, but the high starch and calories it contains can increase weight rapidly. Eating potatoes daily or in large quantities helps the body store excess fat. Therefore, include potatoes in your weight loss diet occasionally and in limited quantities only.

2. Arabic

Arabic may look light, but it is a calorie-rich vegetable. If you are trying to lose weight, then excessive consumption of taro can spoil your efforts. This is the reason why it is considered better to remove it less or completely in a weight loss diet.

3. Peas

Peas are often considered a healthy vegetable, but they contain high amounts of carbohydrates. Eating more peas than necessary can lead to weight gain. If you are including peas in your diet, then pay special attention to their quantity.

4. Pumpkin

Pumpkin is generally considered a light and low-calorie vegetable, but the natural sugar and carbs present in it can be harmful for people trying to lose weight. Eating pumpkin in large quantities can increase weight gradually, so limit it in your diet.

5. Beetroot

Beetroot is rich in nutrients, but it also contains high sugar and carbohydrates. Eating too much beetroot daily can increase blood sugar and start fat storage, which leads to weight gain.

6. Sweet potato

Sweet potato is an energy-giving vegetable, but it is also a high-calorie and high-carbohydrate food. If you reduce physical activity and eat more sweet potatoes, weight gain is certain. Eat it only in limited quantity during weight loss.
