The agriculture industry faces various challenges such as lack of irrigation systems in many fields, weeds, crop height and plant monitoring issues due to extreme weather conditions. But the performance can be enhanced with the help of technology and thus these problems can be solved. It can be improved with different AI powered technologies such as remote sensors and GPS. The global food demand is increasing day by day, on the other hand the available land is decreasing rapidly. If you look around, you find that artificial intelligence has entered almost every industry such as drug discovery and clinical trials, disease diagnosis in humans, animals and plants, quality control in plants, maintenance of electronic health records, harvesting of crops in large areas and IT will continue to do so in the future.

Advantages of Robots in Agriculture

1. Enhanced Production: Farmers can improve production capabilities through comprehensive irrigation planning, adequate monitoring of crop health, increased knowledge about soil health, and adaptation to environmental changes.

2. Effective and Adaptive Techniques: The use of drones gives farmers regular updates about their crops and it helps in developing robust farming techniques. They can adapt to the weather conditions and allocate resources without any wastage.

3. Greater Safety of Farmers:  It is safe and convenient for farmers to use drones to spray pesticides in challenging to reach areas, infested areas, tall crops, and power lines. It also helps farmers to prevent over spraying of crops, leading to less pollution and less chemicals in the soil.

Hence, adoption of new digital technologies in agriculture and its application by farmers will enable them to increase their production by growing more crops using less water, less land and reducing the cost of cultivation. Disadvantages of Robots in Agriculture

These agribots can create a massive transformation and prove that the future will witness a strong reliance on AI, run by humans. Robotics will definitely bring about an agriculture revolution. The road ahead is difficult though. We have to measure the feasibility, sustainability, and efficiency of meeting the food demands of the world.
