Tea and coffee are the most consumed drinks in our country. Tea or coffee is drunk in almost every house in the morning. Some people start their day with tea or coffee. Their day is not complete without drinking these in the morning. People drink tea or coffee as per their taste for energy, to cleanse the stomach, and to activate the body. Although both of them are beneficial for health, many of us still have doubts about which one is better for our body. In fact, both tea and coffee provide a variety of health benefits when consumed regularly, but their caffeine content varies greatly. Coffee contains twice as much caffeine as tea. Coffee contains 80 to 100 mg of caffeine, while tea contains 30 to 50 mg of caffeine.
Drinking coffee with more caffeine gives us more energy. It improves physical performance. Concentration increases. Experts believe that coffee is a good option for people who can tolerate caffeine doses, who always want a strong mental and physical boost, and who exercise in the morning. However, compounds present in coffee may trigger symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. This may cause digestion problems. Therefore, it can be said that coffee is not right for everyone. When it comes to tea, tea is very light on the stomach. It contains less caffeine. Drinking tea with ginger and spices is also good for health. It improves digestion.
When it comes to choosing which one to choose, experts say it depends on your taste and preference. Many people drink both tea and coffee. However, those who think that drinking too much caffeine can cause digestion problems and insomnia should try drinking herbal tea. Similarly, according to the FDA’s general caffeine guidelines, we should not consume more than 400 mg of caffeine per day. It is better to read the labels of any coffee or tea before drinking it. It is also better to know in advance how much milk and sugar is in the mixture. Also, experts recommend that whatever tea or coffee you drink, it is better to ensure that it has low sugar content.
