Chinese tech company Oppo has launched a new cheap 5G smartphone Oppo A5 in the Indian market on Saturday (June 21). The phone has features like MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor, 8GB RAM, 6000mAh battery and 50MP camera.
The smartphone has been introduced with 2 variants. Its base model 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at Rs 15,499 and the variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB memory is priced at Rs 16,999. The phone is available in Mist White and Aurora Green colors.
The phone has many artificial intelligence (AI) features like AI Eraser 2.0 to remove unwanted objects, AI Clarity Enhancer to bring details in blurry photos and AI Smart Image Matting 2.0 to edit elements from the photo. Apart from this, it has Ultra Volume Mode, which can increase audio up to 300%.
The smartphone has a 360-degree armor body. It is IP65 rated water and dust resistant. ABS plastic has been used in the phone, which gives it 160% better impact resistance and has passed military-grade testing. The size of the phone is 7.60 x 0.79 x 16.57CM and weighs 194 grams.
Display: Oppo A5 has a 6.67-inch HD + LCD display with 1604×720 pixel resolution, which works at 120Hz refresh rate.
Camera: There is a dual camera setup on the back panel of the phone for photography. It includes a 50-megapixel primary lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the same time, an 8MP front camera has been provided for selfie and video calling.
Performance: The device has a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor, which is based on 6nm process. The phone gets 128GB internal storage with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. Which can be expanded through hybrid SIM slot. Also, RAM expansion feature is also available in it. It runs on Color OS 15 based on Android 15.
Battery: For power backup, the phone has a large 6000mAh battery, which supports 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. Oppo claims that the battery in the phone will retain 80% capacity even after 5 years. Apart from this, the phone can charge 30% in 21 minutes and 50% in 37 minutes.
Other: The phone has 5G, LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C port and dual SIM support.
