On May 14, all and sundry got stunned with the New Zealand parliament while MP Laura McAleer confirmed an AI-made nude image of herself in front of all and sundry with the parliament. This picture has now become not real, however a Deepfake, which she herself prepared from the internet in just five minutes. Her reason is to tell how risky the Deepfake generation is and the way it takes very little time to make it.
Today with the global of social media and internet, Deepfake is not always only a generation, it has become a risky weapon. It can be used to break the image of individuals, harm the profession or make agents. Especially youngsters, ladies and young adults have the maximum chance. So, it is very important that we stay alert, aware and additionally make others aware about virtual security.

Question-1: What is deepfake?
Answer- Deepfake is an artificial intelligence (AI) technology that can be used to create a complete replica of someone’s face, gestures, voice, or way of speaking. Through this, a person’s video or image can be modified in such a way that it appears to be real, while it is far away or fake. This can be conducted in all 3 forms – video, audio and image.
Question-2: How risky is deepfake?
Answer- This AI method can be very risky due to the fact that the appearance of those faux movies and pictures is so real that it turns them into hard to pick up. It can break a person’s image, reveal fake information and they can be deceiving. It is a big threat to private life, society, and politics.
Question-3: How are deepfake movies or pics made?
Answer- Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) are used at the edge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning to make deepfake movies and pics. There are some steps on it. Such as-
First, someone’s pics, videos, and voice samples are collected from the internet or social media.
The AI version (incorporating GANS) learns the nuances of that person’s face, gestures, and voice. Here are the major parts of it. The generator which creates the fake pics or videos and the discriminator which tests whether it is real or fake. The difference between the versions is then further corrected through the evaluation.
Encoder and Decoder
The encoder extracts important features from the real face.
The decoder makes those features fake with the help of using them for another video or image.
If there is a deepfake video, the enhancement is increased on each body so that the face and expression appearance are actually real.
Question-4: How can humans not realize that a video or image is deepfake?
Answer- Due to the steady updates in AI, it has become difficult to pick out the video or image. However, it is able to diagnose to a degree with the help of using some fundamental matters in mind.

Answer- Its victims are usually celebrities and famous people (including film stars, politicians, social media influencers). Moreover, youngsters, women and girls who are more active on social media also have a chance from this.
