First Pictures Of Tesla Model Y Launched In India: ₹ 28 Lakh More Than America, Know Complete Information From Booking To Price And Servicing

The first showroom of Tesla, the world’s richest businessman Alan Musk’s company, has opened in the Bandra-Kurla complex in Mumbai today i.e. on July 15.

At present, only model Y car is sold in India. Its price starts at Rs 60 lakhs. This is 28 lakh rupees more than America.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Tesla showroom. With this, booking of trains has started.

Tesla’s showroom will serve as an experience center

This store will serve as an experience center for people. That is, not only the vehicles will be sold here, but people will also be able to see Tesla’s technology and abilities closely.

Special guests and media persons are attending this program. Next, the showroom will soon be opened to the general public. Currently, only model Y has been launched in India.

It has been imported from China, so it costs Rs 60 lakh after import duty. In the coming time, the company may also consider local production, which may reduce the cost. However, Tesla has not yet given any information about the production plan.

1. When will the booking and shipping of Tesla cars start?

According to Tesla’s website, you can order model Y from today i.e. July 15. It has been launched in several variants. Its starting price is 60 lakh rupees and the range will be 500 km. The other variant is priced at Rs 67.89 lakh. It runs for 622 km. Its shipping will start from October.

2. Which cars will sell in India today?

Tesla is currently selling only models Y in India. This is the company’s popular and cheap option. Models 3, s or cybercatc will also be made available in future.

3. MG Motors: Cars like Windsor and Sibster can challenge Tesla in the premium segment. Its 22% market share in India is also a factor.

4. BYD: Chinese company will compete with Tesla in BYD’s Atto 3, Seal and E6 models premium and production-centric segment. However, its presence in India is limited.

5. Hyundai: Cars like South Korean company’s Ionic 5 and Creta Electric can compete with Tesla in the premium EV segment. Its huge dealership network is also a factor.

6. BMW, Audi, Mercedes: Luxury electric vehicles of European manufacturers such as BMW’s i4 and IX, Audi’s E-Tron and Mercedes EQ series will compete with Tesla vehicles in the premium market.

The showroom fare is around ₹ 35 lakh per month

The company has recently fixed a five -year fare for a 4,000 -square -foot retail space at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. This space is near Apple’s flagship store located in the city. According to reports, its fare is around ₹ 35 lakh per month, one of the most expensive commercial fares in India. Tesla’s premium electric vehicles will be displayed in this showroom. Customers will also get a chance to test drive here.

Model Y is the world’s best -selling electric car

The company’s model Y is the world’s best -selling electric car. Indian customers may also like it. It is a compact SUV, which is based on model 3.

Its range is about 500-600 km based on the battery model. It has autopylot and fully automated driving options available. However, it is not yet recognized in India. The company is facing a decline in revenue in Europe and China, so India can prove to be a major option for them.
