This unprecedented incident occurred when the car automatically reached the buyer’s house from the factory. The world’s richest business executive, Alan Musk, delivered Tesla’s completely automatic (automatic) car on his birthday.
The electric car reached the customer’s house is ‘model Y’. Tesla has posted a video of delivery on X, showing the car on its own navigating. It stops at the traffic signal and avoids obstacles like other vehicles or pedestrians before proceeding.

In an official announcement, the company reported that they have completed the first delivery of the completely automated model Y in Texas.
The car successfully ran on parking sites, highways and city roads without any driver or remote control.
According to a Bloomberg report, Tesla’s AI and Autopylot chief, Ashok Elusswamy, reported that the maximum speed of the car was 72 mph (116 km/h) during delivery.
Tesla has upgraded it to make the model Y fully automated. The model Y, launched in March 2019, has a global initial price of $40,000 (about ₹ 34 lakh). It is available in three variants: rear-wheel drive, long range and performance, and the performance version costs $60,000 (about ₹ 51 lakh).
Earlier, the company started the service on 22 June, where the car was automatically run and a specialist of the company monitored it for security.
The fare for a ride on the robotaxi is $4.20, ie around Rs 364. These vehicles currently run from 6 am to 12 noon in a limited area of Austin.
Although Tesla has not announced when the robotaxi service will be available to the public, Musk has assured that the service will be expanded soon, and it will be started in other cities of the US.
Musk praised Tesla AI software and chip design team during the launch of Robotaxi and emphasized that this success is the result of a decade’s hard work. The Tesla team has developed AI chips and software independently, without any external aid. These automated vehicles use advanced techniques such as artificial intelligence (AI), sensors, cameras, radars and lidar to walk on the roads.
Tesla’s robotaxi will face tough competition from companies such as Wemo, owned by Google’s original company Alphabet. Vemo is currently running more than 1500 driver -free vehicles in cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Austin. Other companies like Zucux are also developing completely automated vehicles without steering wheels and paddles.
1. Steering and paddleless ‘cybercab’
Tesla’s CEO unveiled the concept model of the first AI-equipped robotaxi, ‘Cybercab’, at the ‘We-Robot’ program in California last October.
This two -seat taxi is designed without steering or paddle. Customers will be able to buy a Tesla Cybercab for less than $30,000 (about Rs 25 lakh).
Cybercab does not have both steering and paddles
Running a cybercab will cost 20 cents per mile, ie about 16 km for every 1.6 km.
No plug is needed to charge it. It has a wireless charging facility.
Cybercab is a completely automatic electric vehicle without a steering wheel or paddle.
Its interior is quite small, in which only 2 passengers can sit, and the dashboard has a flat screen.
2. Tesla Robovan is also preparing to launch
In the V-Robot program, Tesla unveiled another automatic vehicle called the ‘Robovan’, carrying 20 people and also carrying goods. This game is suitable for the transport of teams.
Musk intends to make a fleet of automated Tesla taxis. Tesla owners will have the option to register their cars as part-time taxis, so that they will be able to earn money through the network if they are not in use of their vehicles.
